[1.2 Time to Makan] - Sotong
1130hrs: We decided to stop by the ticket booth for Angkor ruins, intending to purchase the entry tickets for the next three days. *sigh* Least do we know, that we can only do so at 5pm in the evening!!! *grumble* *grumble* So inflexible!!!!! Aiyah... the driver also never warn us!!! I guess there is a reason why most people will go at 5pm to buy the 3-day pass, and proceed in to watch the Sunset at either Phnom Bakheng or Angkor Wat in the same day. (Free entry after 5.30pm) Okay..... lesson learned!!! "Green apples? anyone wants green apples?"

1210hrs: Well, what can we do..... but ..... Time for LUNCH!!!!
We went to this cool place at the Old Market call the Blue Pumpkin recommended by Lily. It's a very cosy place that serves really good food. The unique part about this place is this sofa that lines one side of the wall, all draped in white, and it is so inviting to just slouch there with a good book in hand, and a nice cold drink in the other. Some people actually doze off in the process..... not a bad idea too, if you have time to kill, and sleep to catch up on!!! Oh yeah, that's the owner's picture in the menu, and it's a LADY!!!

Here are some of the food we ordered..... *yum*... can't remember what they were though...

Us enjoying our lunch, Tooty with her burger, DO waiting for his, and THE OWNER taking orders from us!!! Prices for pasta was US$3.75, average price for food was US$2.75... thereabout..... Drinks were going between US$1 to US$2.....
Okay, this is what I had:Spicy Chicken Pita. I chose the '3 chillies' option which is supposedly VERY spicy. They actually put chopped red chillis into it as well, along with chilli sauce. (But still quite mild by my standard) But it was NICE!!! A nice blend of chicken and vegetables and sauces, sweet and spicy.
I also ordered a health drink Lolita, which comprises of ginger, green apples among other things..... it was also very YUMMY!!! You can see it in the picture, don't look appertizing hor? Well... looks can be deceiving.

Total cost for my meal: US$3.75 + US$1.75 = US$5.50. That's less than S$10..... very nice and affordable meal.
In summary: Great Food, Great Ambience, Great Service!!! A *must* go place if you visit Siem Reap. Oh, they also sells very nice pastries and ice-creams. Oh.... finally found someone who loves Ice-Cream as much as Tiwazz and Roonz..... make a guess and it ain't me!!!
We walked around the Old Market looking at the souvenirs, quite a good selections of interesting stuff. Didn't really bought much, though we did try some of their local 'pastries'.... swiss roll, some apple pie stuff (not sure if it's apple)... nothing fantastic..... "Green apples? anyone wants green apples?"
